All research will be performed by Ellen A. Del Colle, an independent contractor, in accordance with prevailing professional standards in genealogy, including the Code of Ethics of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the Code of Ethics adopted by the Board of Certification of Genealogists, and the Standards recommended by the National Genealogical Society.
Experience Matters
Professional services include heir and probate research for family members, attorneys, executors and estate administrators; searching for missing or unknown heirs; analyzing & verifying kinship; preparing affidavits, reports & documentation for court cases; and providing testimony as an expert witness. These searches have required researching records for the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Germany, Italy and Ireland.
Research sources utilized include the internationally renowned Family History Library located in Salt Lake City, Utah, the largest genealogical repository in the world of microfilm, print and digitized historic records; online access to vital records databases; land, parish, probate, military, church and newspaper records; yearbooks; and, city directories, as well as access to a variety of fee-based subscription internet collections.
